That is what our military, police officers and firefighters do for the community and their country. But who is protecting them? Some law enforcement agencies recognize same sex partnerships while others do not. The military has a don't ask, don't tell policy; but are LGBT military personnel really treated the same? On Tuesday July, 14th the Tampa Bay Business Guild will be honoring the men and women that serve our city and country. We will have speakers from both sides of the Bay sharing their stories regarding the treatment of LGBT individuals and if we really are treated equally and fairly.
The Tampa Bay Business Guild began over 26 years ago and is the Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, serving both sides of Tampa Bay. In addition to our monthly dinner meeting, we host various activities including, an annual Business Expo, monthly social gatherings, and an annual Directory book.
